‘There are more difficult things in life’

1. Winning an Olympic medal should not be a big deal. I think this is no big deal.

2. I had goals till my second Olympics. Then I stopped believing in this goal theory and this preparation theory and that peaking theory. Obviously you approach the Olympics looking to win. But, nahin hoga to na sahi. Life goes on. Ho gaya to well and good.

3. OK, it’s the first individual gold. But I really can’t understand why no one has won it before. Really, I can’t! There are many more difficult things in life that are far scarier.

4. There’s a void right now. I worked four years for this. I worked for an Olympics medal for 12 years and now I have got it. It’s basically like you climb a mountain and you have reached the top and you find that there’s nothing there. You win a medal, so what? Life goes on, no? What’s the big deal? What’s the big fuss about?

Pepsi is putting a familiar twist on its core brands. "Pepsi Lemon NFL Kickoff" colas will hit shelves on Aug. 11. The limited-time-only, lemon-flavored soda will be available in both diet and regular until November. A Pepsi rep confirmed the details of the pending launch.

Pepsi is no stranger to lemon-flavored cola. Its Pepsi Twist colas debuted in 2000 and were discontinued two years ago. PepsiCo, as well as Coca-Cola, have shied away from full-time line extensions in favor of a less risky in-and-out strategy.Most recently, PepsiCo has introduced Sierra Mist Undercover Orange (in conjunction with the movie Get Smart). Made of a total of 2,554 round and baguette diamonds weighing 68.77 carats, 4,500 yellow sapphires weighing 218.55 carats, blue sapphires weighing 986 carats and 8 rubies weighing 248.70 carats have been used. The gold weight of the statue is 691.15 grams.

Design: Yellow and blue sapphires make up the map of India signifying the passion for the DLF Indian Premier League that has captured the imagination of the entire nation, while the rubies on the map highlight the eight franchises and cities in which the matches are being played.

The IPL announced a partnership with Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) on Wednesday, to support the MCC ‘Spirit of Cricket’ initiative. In a World Cup qualifier against South Africa in Stellenbosch, Bermuda batted first and were bowled out for 13 (their captain, Linda Mienzer, making a gritty 1 off 48 balls).
